February is Black History Month!  Summer camps for youth in America are dominated by the white middle and upper class.  At their inception, summer camps were segregated, and not only that, but there weren't any summer camps for people of color.  Camp Founder Girls shares an inspiring history, and is part of an amazing program entitled Black Outside, Inc.  Camp Kupugani (Zulu concept meaning "to raise oneself up") is a summer camp that celebrates diversity and focuses on the multicultural experience.  It founded by Kevin Gordon and Natasha Jackson, and is currently the only black-owned private overnight camp in the U.S.  Click on the links below to learn more about these fantastic programs!

Greetings Campers, Future Campers, and Families!

We are thrilled to announce that Dancy Art Camp will be hosting sessions for Summer 2021.  Last summer, we had to make the difficult decision to cancel all sessions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Safety of our campers is our number one priority.  This summer we will be taking the appropriate measures to keep our campers safe.  Though our camp takes place outdoors, masks will likely be required at certain times.  We will also practice social distancing during workshops/project work time, have individual supply caddies for campers, and install additional hand sanitizing stations at camp.

SESSION DATES COMING SOON!!!

Summer Camp 2020

Dear Campers and Families,

It is with heavy hearts that we have decided to cancel our Summer 2020 Camp Sessions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Tuition will be reimbursed in full to those already paid.

Please stay tuned for Summer 2021 Camp Dates!

Wishing you all health and wellness, and a sense calm this summer.

Sincerely,

Mike and Bri

A Note from your camp directors:

Hi All,

We wanted to take a moment to check in with our camp families and acknowledge the potential effects of COVID-19 on Dancy Art Camp this summer.  We are hopeful that we will be able to conduct camp as planned this summer.  Registration is still open and all sessions currently have room for more campers.  In the event that we need to cancel our camp sessions for Summer 2020, please know that you will receive a full refund for your campers.  Please stay safe and healthy during this strange and difficult time.

Sincerely,

Mike and Bri
