Will is an artist, blacksmith, carpenter, and parent. Will believes art is play and play is art, and mixes a love of handcraft and vernacular building with a deep respect for the aesthetic teachings of the natural world. Will brings a wide variety of experiences, including bicycling from Alaska to Argentina, training as a wooden boat builder in Maine, and raising goats on their Wisconsin farm. In 2019 Will received the Minnesota folk and traditional arts grant focused on blacksmithing and hand tool making. These days you can find Will working in the smithy, making art with kiddos, building houses, and spending time outside appreciating the beauty of this world.
